James Black



James Black is the VP, Listings Development for the Canadian Securities Exchange (“CSE”). Based in Vancouver, BC Mr. Black manages the CSE’s domestic and international programs for attracting exciting new companies to the exchange as well as evangelizing the CSE as “the Exchange for Entrepreneurs”.
Prior to James’ tenure at the CSE, he was a manager at the National Angel Organization where his focus was on helping Angel groups launch, network with one another, and establish best practices for investing. He graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto with Honours majoring in Entrepreneurial studies.


Neil Patel


   Neil is a Founder/CEO of Kabuni, Public Speaker, Unlocking the personal design potential of every human being by combining AI, Blockchain and 3D printing. "At  Kabuni,  we are building a platform that will define how the $12T manufacturing industry will scale Ideas’s on Demand in the new world of additive manufacturing."


Geoff Pedlow


  As a member of the Technology and Securities Group of Fasken’s Vancouver office, Geoff advises emerging companies and the investors that fund them in connection with early stage, venture capital, growth equity, private equity and M&A transactions.
Focusing on the technology sector, Geoff advises entrepreneurs, start-ups and venture-backed technology companies, from ideation through business organization, capital raising and exit.
Geoff provides a broad range of pragmatic legal advice at the business formation stage and continues to serve as the first point of contact for clients as the business matures, regularly working with them on matters relating to debt and equity financing, liquidity transactions, and day-to-day corporate law matters.
In addition, Geoff advises on complex commercial matters relating to information technology, including licensing and development, for business in a variety of industries.

  Mike Stephens is a leading information technology law Partner in the Vancouver office of Fasken. A recognized leader in the British Columbia technology ecosystem and a dedicated advocate for clients, Mike represents companies in all stages of their development, with a particular focus on early-stage entrepreneurs, start-ups and emerging growth companies.
An experienced M&A and securities lawyer, Mike also counsels emerging growth companies from their foundation all the way to IPO or an exit event. Mike also advises founders, executives and company boards on corporate issues, business strategy, fundraising and board governance, and strategic transactions.
